Circa very early 2012 -- I hold this dress very near and dear to my heart. Being a huge fan of blowout sales at fabric shops (but not the biggest print fan at the time) - this $1.99/a yard print changed my sewing style for the better. This is one of the first dresses that I made based on my personal style and design. Haha, yes - I might dress like the love child of a hippy and Boy George, but I used to sew like I was Betty Draper's personal dresser. This baby was originally ment to be a dress for myself, but thanks to the media explosion that is bookface - it became a "must have" among my friends and ultimately my gateway into Etsy. Unfortunately, this fabric is no longer being made (please pause for a moment of silence...) - I've contemplated venturing into textiles for the sake of reviving a print similar to this, but until that's happens I'll keep hoping for the fabric fairy to bring me another structured surprise.
